Honor the life of your loved one in a setting as timeless as the ocean. At Soul & Shore Maui, we create intimate ceremonies on the beautiful south beaches of Maui that bring comfort, healing, and connection.
Held from the shoreline, this ceremony provides an opportunity to release a ceremonial amount* of your loved one’s ashes, along with flower petals, into the ocean. For those who prefer not to release ashes, flower petals alone may be released as a beautiful tribute and celebration of a life well-lived.
Ceremony is approximately 20 –30 min.
:: traditional hawaiian elements
blowing of the pū (conch shell), oli (chant), mele (song), hula (dance) and pule ho‘omalu (prayer of parting) — A small basket of loose rose petals will be provided as part of the ceremony
:: morning or evening/sunset service
choose the time of day that best reflects how you’d like to remember your loved one
:: intimate group setting
designed for small groups, keeping the focus on honoring your loved one
